TechnoPirates Advance in the Rankings

The Lytle Junior High Techno Pirates improved on their last performance with a third place win at the McCollum High School robotics meet Saturday.

The Techno Pirates won four of five matches and racked up a total of 126 points. They battled control system connection issues and programming glitches that at one point caused the team robot's claw to stop working and the robot's motors to die in the middle of a match. The team kept its cool, though and driver Isabella Lopez and lead programmer Miguel Lopez kept the robot running and scoring.   The team's next meet will be January 20, 2018.
