JH hosts Fox 29 News for Rodeo Kickoff

Lytle Junior High had the pleasure of hosting Fox 29 News' own Shaun Stevens Thursday morning as he broadcast his weather segments live from the Junior High campus from 7-9am to commemorate Lytle ISD celebrating the start of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo!  Click on the video gallery below to view the 9 informative and entertaining segments that aired from Lytle, Texas!  We featured the opening of the new Junior High, our community involvement in future education styles, introduced a baby goat, showcased projects from the Ag Shop created by students and put on a live roping demonstration by Lytle High School students.

The photo gallery below highlights a few of the activities that took place to merge rodeo kick-off fun with class curriculum.  Students dressed in their cowboy best and learned about brands, wildlife management, rodeo careers, the mission and giving of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, country western dancing, lunch filled with music and Y100fm, dutch oven campfire cooking, cattle genetics, western theater, barrel racing timing and much more!  Visit our Lytle ISD Flickr page to see more fun pics from campus today!!
